Resumen

Cuba a través de sus años de revolución ha cruzado por una economía abierta y dependiente de sus relaciones económicas externas, no estando exonerada de los impactos de la crisis que se han manifestado en la inestabilidad de los precios de los productos que intercambia. Debido a esto y como parte de la reorganización de la industria metalmecánica, la fundición de pistones que estuvo enclavada en el Cerro-La Habana, pasó a Pinar de Río a la entidad llamada Empresa Integral de Servicios Automotores (EISA), quien asume el reto de continuar la fundición de este importante elemento de máquina, para lo cual debía dotarse de las herramientas necesarias. Para lograr este objetivo se propuso una tecnología para la fundición de pistones Yuchai en moldes metálicos, contribuyendo así a cumplir junto a la compañía su encargo social, al sustituir importaciones en la importante tarea de la remotorización y recuperar el transporte automotor.

Abstract

Cuba through its years of Revolution has crossed by an open economy and dependent on its external economic relations, not being exempt from the impacts of the crisis that have manifested in the instability of the prices of the products that it exchanges. Due to this and as part of the reorganization of the Metal-Mechanical Industry, the piston smelter that was located in Cerro-La Habana, went to Pinar de Río to the entity called Integral Company of Automotive Services (EISA), who assumes the challenge of continuing the casting of this important machine element, for which it had to equip itself with the necessary tools. To achieve this goal, a technology for the casting of Yuchai pistons in metal molds was proposed, thus contributing to fulfill the social commitment with the company, by substituting imports in the important task of remotorization and recovering automotive transport.
